INGLEWOOD, Calif. — A new chapter in WWE history has begun.

WWE is kicking off 2025 with a groundbreaking shift, as its iconic Monday Night Raw makes its debut on Netflix. After more than three decades on cable since its 1993 launch, Raw will now stream on the platform, marking a monumental night for WWE.

The card for this historic event is stacked, featuring four matches, each worthy of a main event. CM Punk and Seth Rollins will settle their bitter rivalry in the ring, the right to wear the ula fala will be determined in a brutal tribal combat, and the top women's division feud continues with a championship on the line. Plus, there will be numerous special appearances, including a highly anticipated "electrifying" one, and the start of John Cena’s farewell tour.

Stay tuned to USA TODAY Sports for all the highlights and results from the first-ever Monday Night Raw on Netflix.

CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins

The intense animosity between Punk and Rollins boiled over as they went all out to destroy each other. The action spilled outside the ring early, with both men using the announcer’s table and barricades as weapons. A brief altercation between Rollins and the referee allowed Punk to recover and land a devastating dropkick. Punk then launched Rollins off the top turnbuckle in an unexpected high-flying move.

The two stars traded blows, with Rollins even hitting a Go To Sleep, Punk’s signature move. When Punk attempted the same, Rollins countered and hit another Go To Sleep. Rollins’ pin attempts came up short, leading to a furious curb stomp. But Punk managed to get his foot on the rope to break the count. Rollins tried to take advantage with a suplex from the top turnbuckle, but Punk countered with a Go To Sleep that led to a thrilling final sequence. Punk landed a second Go To Sleep to secure the pin and emerge victorious.

Analysis: The match was a showcase of WWE’s top talent, with the fierce hatred between Punk and Rollins driving the intensity. Punk’s victory signals a shift in Rollins’ trajectory, possibly setting him on a path of redemption. As for Punk, he continues to dominate his rivals, positioning himself for a potential WrestleMania main event.

Hulk Hogan Returns, Gets Booed

Hulk Hogan made his return to the WWE universe, but the reception was less than warm. The crowd greeted the WWE Hall of Famer with loud boos, as the once-beloved legend faced a surprising level of disdain. The jeers grew louder as Hogan attempted to speak, signaling a clear break from his previous status as a fan favorite.

Jey Uso vs. Drew McIntyre

The match started with a bang as Jey Uso launched himself at Drew McIntyre before the bell even rang. McIntyre quickly regained control, using the steel steps to his advantage before the official start of the match. Despite Uso’s defense, McIntyre dominated much of the contest, even landing a Claymore that failed to secure the win. However, when McIntyre went for another Claymore, Uso evaded it and capitalized on a rare opening, rolling up McIntyre for a shocking victory.

Analysis: McIntyre’s frustration is sure to continue after being so dominant throughout the match yet still losing. This defeat is likely to ignite further tensions with the OG Bloodline, and McIntyre may soon look for retribution against Uso.

Jey Uso’s Entrance with Travis Scott

Jey Uso made a memorable entrance, joined by rapper Travis Scott, who has created the official theme song for Monday Night Raw. The duo made their way down the Intuit Dome steps, hyping up the crowd as they “yeeted” with commentators Michael Cole and Pat McAfee, adding extra energy to an already electric atmosphere.

The Undertaker Celebrates with Rhea Ripley

The Undertaker made a special appearance to congratulate Rhea Ripley on her Women’s World Championship victory. As Ripley made her way down the ramp, the arena lights dimmed, signaling the arrival of the iconic “Deadman.” Riding his motorcycle, the Undertaker circled the ring before joining Ripley for a celebratory moment, raising their arms as fireworks erupted around them.

Women’s World Championship Match: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

The championship match was a brutal and intense battle from the start. Both women pulled out all the stops, with Liv Morgan relying on distractions from Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez to gain an advantage. Morgan even hit a devastating Oblivion onto a steel chair, but Ripley kicked out. Morgan tried to channel Eddie Guerrero’s influence with the Three Amigos and a frog splash, but Ripley powered through.

As Morgan grew desperate, Ripley turned the tide, showcasing her strength by throwing Morgan around the ring. After a failed Oblivion attempt, Ripley landed two consecutive Riptides to finally reclaim the Women’s World Championship.
