From former Brewers to celebrities like Adam Sandler and Brett Favre, Bob Uecker's influence spanned far and wide.

Bob Uecker has been the beloved voice of spring and summer in Milwaukee for decades.

For Brewers fans, Uecker's play-by-play has defined 54 seasons, whether you first tuned in on a transistor radio or through AirPods. His Hall of Fame storytelling transcended generations, weaving sharp wit, humor, and a larger-than-life personality into the fabric of a small-market franchise.

Uecker passed away Thursday morning, but his timeless voice and unforgettable presence will always be cherished. Remarkably, you didn’t need to be a baseball fan to fall in love with Uecker. His unique gift for making anyone laugh—anytime—endeared him to millions.

Many remember his frequent appearances on Johnny Carson’s The Tonight Show, his iconic Miller Lite commercials, his lead role on the sitcom Mr. Belvedere, and his hilarious turn in the 1989 film Major League. Despite his national fame, Uecker’s heart always remained True Blue to Milwaukee.

His friendships extended deeply into the Brewers organization, with both current and former players treasuring their moments with him. Christian Yelich honored Uecker on Instagram with a heartfelt post, while former catcher Jonathan Lucroy shared a fond memory of a fishing trip aboard Uecker's boat—one that amusingly lacked a net.

Tributes poured in from across the baseball world. Brewers pitcher Freddy Peralta shared a touching Instagram story featuring a photo of himself with Uecker, captioned, "Legends never die." Beyond Milwaukee, Major League Baseball honored a man whose impact reached far beyond the field.
