NEW YORK — Tina Turner earned the title of the 'Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll' for a good reason.
The legendary singer, who passed away in 2023 after a long illness at her home in Küsnacht, near Zurich, left behind an impressive catalog of unforgettable hits. Now, fans can enjoy a previously unreleased gem: “Hot For You Baby,” a lively ‘80s rock track that showcases Turner’s signature husky voice—both effortlessly cool and undeniably upbeat.
This track is part of the upcoming 40th anniversary edition of her iconic album Private Dancer, set to release on March 21. The new edition will be available in several formats, including a 5-CD/Blu-ray box set that features unreleased tracks, live performances, and music videos. “Hot For You Baby,” written by Australian singer John Paul Young and produced by John Carter, was initially intended for the 1984 album but never made the final cut.
Private Dancer peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and gave Turner her only No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with “What’s Love Got to Do With It.” The album is filled with other timeless tracks, including “Proud Mary,” “Nutbush City Limits,” “River Deep, Mountain High,” “We Don’t Need Another Hero,” and her stunning cover of Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.”
