Three of President Trump's nominees are scheduled to testify before the Senate today, culminating in a Senate Armed Services Committee vote on Pete Hegseth’s confirmation as Secretary of Defense.

Doug Collins, nominated for Veterans Affairs Secretary, will testify before the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs at 9 a.m.

Elise Stefanik, the nominee for Ambassador to the U.N., will appear before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations at 10 a.m. Her session will be followed by Scott Bessent, Trump’s pick for U.S. Treasury Secretary, who is set to testify at 10:15 a.m.

The Senate Armed Services Committee is expected to vote on Hegseth’s confirmation at 5 p.m. Hegseth, who faced sharp questioning from Senate Democrats last week regarding his past remarks about women in combat roles, also contended with interruptions from protesters during his hearing.

President Trump nominated Hegseth in November, shortly after his decisive victory over Vice President Harris, praising him as "a Warrior for the Troops, and for the Country."
