The results of the school lottery will be announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The lottery results for school admissions from first to ninth grade for all government and private schools at both the metropolitan and district Sadar levels will be announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The results will be sent via SMS to the mobile numbers provided during the registration process. They will also be accessible on the admission website: https://www.profitablecpmrate.com/fic2y4ic6v?key=97daf11a449dfd7ce7f4791752e22ab5.

The lottery will take place at the International Mother Language Institute on Tuesday. Mohammad Aziz Uddin, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education’s Secondary Wing and Member Secretary of the Dhaka Metropolitan Admission Committee, stated: “The admission lottery will begin in the morning. The digital processing of the admission lottery will start between 10:30am and 11am.”

He added that the entire process typically takes between two and two-and-a-half hours, with results expected to be available between 2:00pm and 2:30pm.

Guardians can download and print the lottery results from the website using the login IDs and passwords used during registration. Head teachers will also have access to the results for their respective schools using their own IDs and passwords.

This year, online applications for school admissions were open from November 12 to November 30, with a total of 983,539 students applying for admission to both government and private schools within the 18-day application window.

Of these, 635,072 students applied for spots in government schools, while 348,467 students applied to private schools.

There are 1,116,389 vacant seats available across 5,625 government and private schools. The admission committee reported that 635,072 applicants competed for 108,716 seats across 680 government schools, with 964,850 applicants indicating a preference for government schools.

In contrast, 1,007,673 vacant seats exist across 4,945 private schools, yet only 348,467 students applied for these positions. Consequently, a significant number of seats in private schools will remain unfilled after the admission process concludes.
