Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is seeking a restraining order against Tory Lanez, alleging that he has been harassing her from prison via social media and through the use of "third parties."

Megan, 29, whose real name is Megan Pete, filed the request on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court. The petition claims that Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, has been "traumatizing" Megan since 2020 and shows no signs of stopping.

"Mr. Peterson is a violent and dangerous criminal, and his ongoing behavior underscores the need for this civil harassment restraining order to protect Ms. Pete and her well-being," the petition reads.

Lanez, 32, is currently serving a 10-year sentence at the California Correctional Institution in Southern California after being convicted for shooting Megan in the feet on July 10, 2020. He has appealed his conviction.

"Even from behind bars, Mr. Peterson continues to terrorize Ms. Pete," the petition states. In response, the non-profit organization representing Lanez accused Megan of lying.

"When do we, as a society, stop believing the narrative they are pushing and ask ourselves if ‘enough is enough’? We trust the truth will be fully examined and proven through the legal process, and we remain 100% confident in our case," said Unite the People in a statement posted Wednesday on Instagram.

The petition accuses Lanez of using "third-party online bloggers" to spread defamatory claims about Megan. One blogger, Milagro Cooper, allegedly published false statements on social media and YouTube regarding Megan and the criminal trial. The petition describes Cooper, also known as Milagro Gramz, as Lanez's "puppet and mouthpiece." Megan filed a civil lawsuit against Cooper in October. An attorney for Cooper could not immediately be reached for comment on the petition.

Additionally, the filing claims that prison call logs from Lanez suggest he conspired to undermine Megan’s credibility. In one call, Lanez's father reportedly asked about alleged payments to Cooper "for her harassment of Ms. Pete," to which Lanez allegedly replied: "How are they ever going to prove something like that?"

Megan's petition states that Lanez's ongoing harassment has caused her "severe emotional distress and reputational harm."

"Mr. Peterson is fully aware of the psychological impact his actions have had on Ms. Pete, yet he continues to enlist his supporters to attack her character and integrity," the petition concludes.
